We have three core beers:
Our Best Bitter is Snail Creep Hanging (4.2% ABV), a traditional beer style where the sweetness of the darker malts in the mash is
balanced by bitterness from some of the hops during the boil in the copper. Colour is amber, aroma is sweet and floral, taste is bitter with floral and toffee notes.
Our social Pale Ale is Cow Down (3.8% ABV), a contemporary ale brewed with more hop character but without the addition of darker malts. The punch comes from the fresh citrus aroma and taste of the Cascade and Citra hops and means several glasses can be enjoyed with friends - or strangers. Colour is pale gold, aroma is citrus, grapefruit and summer! Taste is crisp, fruity, I’ll have another please!
Our India Pale Ale is Park Down (4.5% ABV), a modern IPA - not having to be brewed extra strong to survive the sea journey from England to the Empire! Brewed to satisfy the post imperial palette that still demands the powerful hop and malt flavours they would expect. Colour is summer sunrise, aroma is warm grain and grapefruit, flavour is subtle malt, rich fruits and contemplation.
